Frequently asked questions

Is the word search maker really free?
Yes. Use it here as often as you like with no sign-up. The offline kit is free too; the checkout only asks for your email so the download link can reach you.
What size are the letters?
You choose: Large (16 pt), Extra large (20 pt) or Jumbo (24 pt). For low vision, pick Jumbo and the Easy level, and print at 100% ("Actual size"). Larger paper at 120-140% makes it bigger still.
How many words can I use?
8 to 18 words fill a page best. Words of 3 to 15 letters fit; spaces and punctuation are ignored, so "NEW YORK" is hidden as NEWYORK. The list on the page shows the words as you typed them.
Which difficulty should I choose?
Easy hides words only across and down - the most relaxed choice for older adults and anyone living with memory loss. Medium adds diagonals; Hard also hides words backwards.
Can I sell the puzzles I make?
